Wildcrafted Expression. Sustainable creativity.

Caribbean Costa Rica is alive with life and creates the perfect environment for creativity to take a front seat. Tierra de Sueños, in the quiet beach community of Play Chiquita, is a jungle retreat with easy access to a bustling city and night life
or serene Caribbean beauty.

Jen and Amos are in a constant pursuit of joy and want to encourage participants to prepare themselves to explore that same pursuit. On this retreat, please expect to be challenged, but also expect to embrace life in new and creative ways.

Move & Make is a joyful mix of movement, mindfulness and creative fun. We’ll stretch, sway, and breathe together, then slow things down with reflection and hands-on art play. This experience is all about exploring feelings, imagination and self-expression in a relaxed, no-pressure space. Come as you are—no yoga skills or art “talent” needed. Just move a little, make a little and enjoy the process.

Immersing yourself in the wonders of the natural settings that Costa Rica provides - abundant wildlife, amazing botanical life, fresh fruits and veggies and most importantly, sweet, welcoming people - will provide you with an opportunity to be in awe which is a catalyst for appreciation of beauty, creativity and gratitude.

The closest beach (across the street), Playa Chiquita, is many guest’s favorite. It is a series of small tide pools and coves (great for snorkeling) created by live coral formations. It’s quaint and private but also has a strong undertow in it’s most alluring sections.
Punta Uva our next beach over (only 2kms away) is a classical beautiful beach with a long straight beach lined with palm trees and perfect for swimming with no strong undertow.
For surfing there is the renowned Salsa Brava in town or the more consistent Beach Break in Cocles. Playa Grande and Manzanillo offer miles of coast waiting to be explored.
For shopping, Puerto Viejo is a bustling village featuring lots of restaurants and shops bout 5-6km which is a 25 minute bike ride, 10 minute car ride and if you’re up for walking, it takes around an hour and a half. There are several other villages nearby - Play Cocles, Punta Uva and Manzanillo.
The area is flanked by two amazing National Parks - Cahuita National Park and Gandoca- Manzanillo National Refuge. In both parks you'll encounter wildlife and sparsely populated beaches. If we're lucky, we might get to witness baby hawkbill turtles making their way to sea!
